Kathy has been a Port Washington resident for 35 years. She brings over 40 years real estate experience to Laffey Fine Homes and continues to List and Sell homes in this area as well as serving as the Manager of the awarding winning Port Washington/Manhasset/Sands Point area office. Kathy believes that the role of a Real Estate Manager is to guide her agents through the career building process, taking the time and providing the input to help them identify and achieve their personal goals. Personal Interests

I enjoy singing and acting so every year I take part in a communtiy event entitled Red Stocking Revue which is a variety, comedy show done by Cancer Care Volunteers to raise money.  Aside from this, I enjoy playing tennis, sailing, watching magnificent sunsets on Manhasset Bay and just hanging out with my family.  I love good jazz and the golden oldies and fine dining in the many great restaurants that the Port Washington Area has to offer.  I have been known for years as the "blonde in the white Corvette" around town so fast cars has always been a great hobby.  Have 2 Maine Coon cats which I adore.  So much so, that my husband wants to come back in another life as one of my cats!

 

 


Personal Background

Born in Astoria, LIC, NY we left for Metropolitan NY and headed upstate.  I spent from age 7 to 15 in a small town called Millbrook which is in Dutchess County.  My Dad always wanted to live on a farm and .... so we did.  However, life on the farm was not what my Mother expected and so we moved back to Metro NY to a town called Great Neck and so it was that I ended up being a North Shore Gal.  Having gone to school there, I developed many great relationships and also spent a lot of time in Port Washington as a teen.  After school, I went to find a career in the Big Apple and moved there for several years but the Port Washington area always beckoned me back home ... and so it was here that I settled and am happily married with 2 boys for over 30 years now and very active in my community.  As members of the Port Washington Yacht Club for many years, we are avid sailors and play lots of tennis any time we get the chance.  There's nothing like magnificent sunsets over Manhasset Bay.


Community Involvement

As a member of the Community, I serve the Chamber of Commerce, Port Washington Business Improvement District as well as am a member of Cancer Care and donate time to various other community events and charities.
