Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $550K in Douglaston-Little Neck, Flushing, NY.
Kathy Christie sold my home in Jan.2013. Having never sold a home before and having lived in that home for over 30 years, I had accumulated a lot of stuff. Kathy showed me what to get rid of and organize the home so it was presentable to show. It was only a couple of months until the house sold and for more than I expected. I was very impressed with the way she dealt with potential buyers. Kathy Christie and her team of professionals were instrumental in the sale of my home.I highly recommend Kathy Christie and her team of professionals to anyone looking to buy or sell their home. She also found me a great apartment after the sale. Big thanks to Kathy Christie and her team of professionals at Laffey Fine Homes. JB-Douglaston, NY

Dear Kathy, thanks for the extraordinary results in the sale of our house in Munsey Park.  As one who has made many multi-million dollar sales, I was highly impressed.  It was your process, knowledge and concern for us that achieved the fabulous results.  You helped us achieve the best value by counseling us to: install central air, a requisite for buyers in our area, arrange the abandonment of our in-ground oil tank so it would not be a closing issue, do some modest improvements to our basement to make it more attractive and make sure we had the necessary construction approvals to avoid closing questions.  Pricing a house is key and while we were skeptics on your price estimate, your process in having other brokers come and give us written estimates before listing convinced us you were right as the market confirmed.  We received 3 qualified offers in 2 days and you even improved them all.  We listed in February and closed April 2.  We were able to be in Florida while the house was being shown because we had "Mother Christie" watching it closely.  Your daily flower arrangements were a wonderful touch.  The closing went flawlessly.  We highly recommend Kathy Christie and the folks at Laffey Fine Homes to get the best deal in a professional, caring manner.  Thank you.

In my 35 years in buiness I have rarely had the pleasure to deal with someone as capable and professional as Kathy Christie from your Port Washington Office. Her dedication to selling my Mother's house at 4 Sousa Drive in Sands Point went well beyond what I ever could have expected. She was not only hard working and aggressive but intelligent and diligent as well. Every aspect of the transaction was done to perfection. I was particularly impressed by the coordination between her and the office. While Kathy handled all of the details and made the sale happen, it was clear to me that the entire office provided her with the support that made it possbile for her to perform so well. I wish she worked for me.

Dear Kathy -- I want to thank you for assisting me to sell my home in Roslyn Harbor. This was my home for the last 48 years. To move at my age is not easy. You were compassionate, understanding and extremely sensitive to our needs. You were there at every step with your professional support and advice. You provided us services beyond the call of duty. My son, Phil and I both appreciate you as our sales representative and also as a friend who we both learned to trust. The entire experience with you was pleasant and problem free. Kathy, we wish you great success in your work. We will stay in touch.

Now that the smoke has cleared and I'm breathing a little easier, please let me convey to you my heartfelt thanks for a job masterfully done. Right from the start when the house was first shown, you pulled out all the stops to insure that I got maximum attention. I doubt there was anyone looking for a big old house in Port Washington who wasn't aware that 36 Carlton was available. From that point and all the way to the day of the closing you were there smoothing out all the bumps and making sure the buyer got his house and I had a roof over my head. The most important thing I did in this situation was to choose a professional for my agent. When I say "you made it happen" I mean it literally. You DID make it happen and I am truly grateful. Sincerely,

Pat Coleman, Mill Pond Acres, Port Washington

Dear Kathy:  Thank you so much for the very professional job you did on the sale of our home in Sands Point.  To say that we almost lost the deal on several occasions would be an understatement.  Your ability to maintain the focus on solutions instead of the problems kept this deal on track.  As I mentioned, Trisha, Craig and I are planning to move out of state within the next two years.  We have been very pleased with your work keeping our rental properties filled and we would like to talk to you about managing them.  When our plans become more firm, I will make an appointment for us to get together.  It has been a pleasure working with you these past eight years and we look forward to continuing with you in the future.  Best regards,

Trisha and Stuart Williamson, Sands Point, NY

Bought a Cooperative home in 2014 in University Gardens, Great Neck, NY.

I worked with Kathy to purchase a coop in Great Neck that meets all of my needs. Kathy was supportive and knowledgeable. Her efforts allowed me to negotiate a good price for the coop in a key location. Her professionalism remains the key to her efforts as well as her contacts to allow for securing a location that fits my needs. Her significant track record in the business also provides a security that is unique to her. --Great Neck, NY

Professional Interests

I enjoy teaching and watching young professionals reach their full potential. The day to day business of helping people achieve their dreams is most rewarding and knowing that I have the expertise to make that happen is satisfying beyond expectation, every time it happens.

Personal Interests

I enjoy singing and acting so every year I take part in a communtiy event entitled Red Stocking Revue which is a variety, comedy show done by Cancer Care Volunteers to raise money.  Aside from this, I enjoy playing tennis, sailing, watching magnificent sunsets on Manhasset Bay and just hanging out with my family.  I love good jazz and the golden oldies and fine dining in the many great restaurants that the Port Washington Area has to offer.  I have been known for years as the "blonde in the white Corvette" around town so fast cars has always been a great hobby.  Have 2 Maine Coon cats which I adore.  So much so, that my husband wants to come back in another life as one of my cats!

Personal Background

Born in Astoria, LIC, NY we left for Metropolitan NY and headed upstate.  I spent from age 7 to 15 in a small town called Millbrook which is in Dutchess County.  My Dad always wanted to live on a farm and .... so we did.  However, life on the farm was not what my Mother expected and so we moved back to Metro NY to a town called Great Neck and so it was that I ended up being a North Shore Gal.  Having gone to school there, I developed many great relationships and also spent a lot of time in Port Washington as a teen.  After school, I went to find a career in the Big Apple and moved there for several years but the Port Washington area always beckoned me back home ... and so it was here that I settled and am happily married with 2 boys for over 30 years now and very active in my community.  As members of the Port Washington Yacht Club for many years, we are avid sailors and play lots of tennis any time we get the chance.  There's nothing like magnificent sunsets over Manhasset Bay.

Community Involvement

As a member of the Community, I serve the Chamber of Commerce, Port Washington Business Improvement District as well as am a member of Cancer Care and donate time to various other community events and charities.
