By this time of the season, winter can start to feel a bit boring. It's still cold outside, and the sky often looks more gray than blue. Long Island is home to many indoor fun centers, science centers, and aquariums where you can engage your mind without exposing yourself to the elements. Empire Adventure Park

At Empire Adventure Park, kids and adults of all ages can play laser tag, jump on trampolines, tackle the ninja obstacle course, and more. The dodgeball court is especially popular with kids, and the soft play toddler area is perfect for the younger ones.

This magnificent aquarium is home to discus fish, electric eels, flounders, cuttlefish, and more. You can also see a few land-dwelling animals, including fishing cats, penguins, and marmosets.
The Long Island Aquarium offers several events and classes each day, including a Penguin Talk every morning and afternoon, a Sea Lion Presentation, and a Fishing Cat lecture. Admission is even free on your birthday!
iSmash Farmingdale

iSmash Farmingdale is a unique indoor space where you can let out your frustrations by smashing dishes, glassware, old electronics, and more. You can also smash splatter paint, which will leave you looking more colorful than a school art project! Confetti bombs, powder bombs, and car windshields are fun to smash, too.
